BIOGRAPHY

Manuel Ángel Iglesias Campos holds a Ph.D. in Conservation-Restoration (2012). Currently, he is part-time professor of Conservation-Restoration at Fine Arts Faculty (UB) and lectures in Masters, Postgraduate degrees and Professional Courses about Conservation of Historic and Artistic Heritage.

He is a member of the Research Group GRAPAC/CETEC-Patrimoni, affiliated to the UAB and to the Institut Químic de Sarrià (URL); and of the Research Group 2009 SGR 289 Conservació-Restauració del Patrimoni (UB).

Since 1992, he has developed his professional activity as restorer technician in several construction companies, mainly in conservation-restoration interventions of Archaeological materials and Architectural Heritage; he also participates as a member of the working group Materiales y Técnicas de Intervención de  AENOR – COMITE DE CONSTRUCCIÓN-AEN/CTN 41 GT-13.

He has published some research papers in national and international magazines and congresses,  mainly related to the cleaning and treatment of construction materials of Architectural Heritage.
