He completed a three years postgraduate course (2004) with a dissertation on the French sculptor Michel Maille (1643c.-1703) and received his PhD from the University of Pisa (2004) with a monographic study on the Baroque sculptor Domenico Guidi (1625-1701). He is currently Research Assistant in History of Modern Art at the University of Florence.
