Actualment gaudeix d\u2019una nova Beca Post-Doctoral concedida per la Funda\u00e7\u00e3o para a Ciencia e a Tecnologia Portugal (FCT), dedicada a l\u2019estudi de l\u2019Escultura medieval Portuguesa (\u201cPortuguese figurative sculpture from the 12<sup>th<\/sup> to the 14<sup>th<\/sup> centuries, knowledge transfers, &#8220;know how&#8221; and artistic itinerancy\u201d). \u00c9s membre del Institute of Medieval Studies (IEM), Universidade Nova de Lisboa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Amb el curs dels anys, ha realitzat diverses investigacions sobre escultura i iconografia medieval, prestant atenci\u00f3 especialment a les relacions entre l\u2019escultura Portuguesa des del segle XII al XIV i l\u2019escultura d\u2019altres pa\u00efsos de l\u2019Europa Occidental en el mateix horitz\u00f3 temporal. Ha participat en diversos Projectes de Recerca, com l\u2019estudi monogr\u00e0fic sobre la Catedral de Lisboa, <em>Transfer\u00e8ncies Art\u00edstiques en l\u2019Europa G\u00f2tica<\/em>, i actualment \u00e9s membre del Projecte d\u2019Investigaci\u00f3:\u00a0 <em>Mobilitat i Transfer\u00e8ncia Art\u00edstica en el Mediterrani Medieval (1187-1388) Artistes, Objectes i Models<\/em> &#8211; <em>MAGISTRI MEDITERRANEI<\/em> (MICINN: HAR2015-63883-P), dirigit per Manuel Casti\u00f1eiras Gonz\u00e1lez \u2013 Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Amb diverses publicacions en publicacions cient\u00edfiques, tant a Portugal com a nivell internacional, i havent participat en m\u00faltiples congressos (veure <a href=\"https:\/\/unl-pt.academia.edu\/CarlaVarelaFernandes\">https:\/\/unl-pt.academia.edu\/CarlaVarelaFernandes<\/a> ), \u00e9s tamb\u00e9 autora dels seg\u00fcents llibres: <em>Tavira\u2019s Santa Maria Church<\/em> (2001); <em>Memories of Stone: tomb sculpture in Lisbon\u2019s Cathedral<\/em> (2001); <em>The image of a king. Analysis of the tomb of King Fernando I<\/em> (2009 \u2013 bilingual) i coautora de diversos llibres i cat\u00e0legs d\u2019exposici\u00f3: <em>Sculpture of Pal\u00e1cio de Bel\u00e9m<\/em>; <em>Building Memory \u2013 collections from Museu Arqueol\u00f3gico do Carmo<\/em> or <em>Antonio Olmo\u2019s Collection<\/em>, entre d\u2019altres.
